EXIT 194b (Willy Vlautin)

A/A6                                D                 A/A6
after my brother, my cousin and me, we stayed in that house
                                    D
but my cousin got so depressed that he couldn't get out of bed
A/A6                                                                      D           A/A6
then I came home one night and he was sitting at the kitchen table with a woman I had never seen
C#m                     Bm               C#m                     Bm
they were both laughing and drinking and he said he'd joined the army
A/A6
a couple of weeks later he'd left

A       C#m               F#m        C#m
exit 194b there's a house along side that road
F#m           C#m       Bm       A/A6
it looks like any other house I suppose

A/A6                                         D                 A/A6
six months later he called me from a payphone and he said he'd gone AWOL
                                      D                      A/A6
the next time I saw him it was snowing and I saw him walk up the drive
                                  D
we went inside and shut the blinds and we stayed up for days
C#m                      Bm      C#m                     Bm
the death of my youngest brother fell into us like he was right there
                                              A/A6
in his flannel shirt and with his crazy laugh

A       C#m               F#m        C#m
exit 194b there's a house along side that road
F#m           C#m       Bm       A/A6
it looks like any other house I suppose

C#m                    Bm                  A/A6
but it haunts me still and won't let me go
                                   D                                 A/A6
there was a darkness in both of us that neither was strong enough to escape

so we stayed in that house, we just stayed in that old house
C#m        Bm                            A
my cousin, and me and my little brother, he always loomed
